Short Description

Success, Sacrifice & Society is my own creation — a heartfelt reflection of life’s struggles, dreams, and the silent sacrifices that define the middle-class journey. It is inspired by real emotions, not real events; born from the soil of my experiences and nurtured by the people who shaped me. This novel attempts to portray the realities of a world where education becomes the only ladder of hope, and success is treated as the symbol of royalty and respect in society. It captures the unseen tears, the quiet perseverance, and the deep yearning for dignity that every ordinary family carries in its heart.

About the Book

Success, Sacrifice & Society is my own creation — a heartfelt reflection of life’s struggles, dreams, and the silent sacrifices that define the middle-class journey. It is inspired by real emotions, not real events; born from the soil of my experiences and nurtured by the people who shaped me. This novel attempts to portray the realities of a world where education becomes the only ladder of hope, and success is treated as the symbol of royalty and respect in society. It captures the unseen tears, the quiet perseverance, and the deep yearning for dignity that every ordinary family carries in its heart. The inspiration behind this book lies in the memory of my late mother, whose blessings still light my path, and in the strength of my father, whose hard work and honesty built the foundation of my dreams. I offer my deepest gratitude to my elder brother S. S. Yadav, whose sacrifices and support gave me the courage to walk this long road of creation. I owe heartfelt thanks to my teachers — Dr. N. K. Yadav, Dr. R. P. Singh, Abhay Chomiya ( Director St. Angel’s Convent School), Teena ji, Subhash ji, Satish ji, and Rakesh Lamba ji — for their wisdom, faith, and constant encouragement. To my friends — Sajjan Kumar (income tax department) Kuldeep Yadav (Dist .court), Renu Mehar, Narendr Tiwari ji, Balkrishna Ji, Prakhar Jyoti, Gurpreet Singh, Murli Manohar, Anirudh, Virender Singh, L K Joshi, Varish, Mukesh, Ajit Shekhawat ji, Nihal Singh, Rohit, Puspendra, Dharmendra ji, Ajay Yadav ji, Divya, Jitendra, Rajkumar ji (Revenue Officer, Narnaul), Roopam (Jnv Kerala), Neelam Mehandi Ratta, and Ashok ji — I extend my love and appreciation for their constant motivation, laughter, and faith in my work. I am also deeply grateful to my colleagues — Gaytri Singh, Mohan Bhuyan ,Kavita ji,Singh,Rajendra Prasad, Arun Kumar Gaur, Priyanka Gupta, Sunil Kumar, Premlata ji,Vishal ji, Anju Rani, Maya Yadav, Shailza Singh, R. K. Singh, Anu Jain, Mahesh Sharma, Leena Singh, and Balraj Singh , Puspa Dhamija , Sarita Gupta — for their cooperation, warmth, and understanding throughout my teaching journey. To my family members, especially Pooja yadav, Aman Yadav, Rati Ram ji, Sushila, Chirag, Punnu, Yashika I express sincere gratitude for their patience and emotional strength. A special thanks to Kiran Ma’am & Pawan ji Alumini for her technical guidance and support, and to Rajender Kumar Principal Jnv Jaffarpur, whose encouragement gave me the final push to complete this novel. I also thank Rassda ( vice principal )for constant positivity. This novel is also dedicated to my dear JNV students, who remind me every day that dreams born in simplicity often shine the brightest. I owe my respect and affection to my JNV Rangia family, whose warmth, teamwork, and faith became an inseparable part of my journey. Success, Sacrifice & Society is not merely a story—it is a mirror of countless lives around us. It celebrates the spirit of resilience and the quiet strength of those who rise despite adversity, proving that true success lies not in wealth or power, but in character and compassion. About the Author

Teaching has always been more than a profession to me — it is a journey of learning, reflection, and nurturing young minds. I am Jagdish Prasad, an English teacher working in the Navodaya Vidyalaya system, where every classroom tells a new story and every child becomes a world of possibilities. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving as a National Mentor under the NCTE Mission, a Key Resource Person (KRP) under the National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST) initiative, and a Digital Master Trainer, guiding fellow educators in the safe and creative use of technology. Alongside these roles, my love for the stage has always stayed alive — as a Drama Expert, I have seen how art can touch hearts and transform souls in ways that books sometimes cannot. This novel is my first humble attempt to blend those experiences — of classrooms, performances, and human emotions — into words. Every page carries a piece of what I have felt and observed through the lives around me. Yet, all characters and events in this story are entirely imaginary. Any resemblance to real people or incidents is purely coincidental. Writing, for me, is an extension of teaching — a dialogue from the heart. If this story makes you pause, reflect, or feel even a little more human, I will consider my effort rewarded. I seek your patience for any flaws, and your blessings for the path ahead. Jagdish Prasad Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS)
