About the Book

‘Everlasting Fragrance’ sounds like a captivating exploration of the lives of resilient royal women in Medieval India. The stories of Maroni, Kuram, Bhatiani, the Jhala Princess, and Udaymati showcase their extraordinary strength and courage in the face of adversity. It’s both inspiring and heartbreaking to learn about the challenges they faced and how they navigated through them with dignity and bravery. The juxtaposition of pride, loyalty, and heroism with deceit, betrayal, and pain raises thought-provoking questions about the societal norms and injustices these women endured. This book seems like a powerful testament to their untold stories and a valuable contribution to the understanding of women’s roles and experiences in history that leaves us with one intriguing question: why did the women suffer, which they did not deserve?”
