About the Book

“This novel is dedicated to all of the teenagers out there who are emotionally and mentally struggling and need the comfort of knowing they are not alone. Sometimes life has some bittersweet moments, but things always get better at the end. Learning to trust the future will bring happiness is of course hard, for anyone, but it’s important to keep going. We all need to learn to embrace our imperfections, because every imperfection is absolutely perfect. I hope this book allows readers to see some similarities in behavior while reading how the characters interact with each other and their thoughts. Special thanks to both of my parents and my older brother for always being there for me whenever I needed it, and to my closest friends for giving me their ear when I need to ramble on about an ongoing topic in my life. Love you guys loads! “

About the Author

Aatmika Kapoor is a thirteen year old middle schooler who had written this novel initially as a school assignment which turned into a retelling of a personal experience through the lens of magic and fantasy. She hopes that those who read this book will see themselves through many of the characters portrayed, and be able to relate to the feelings and emotions they are experiencing. This book was written solemnly for teenagers, as the transition to becoming older and learning to mature is definitely a tough mountain to climb. They are now learning how to keep relations with others intact while simultaneously figuring out who they are and who they choose to surround themselves with. Aatmika wanted all the teenagers to know that one mistake isn’t the end of the world. Although portrayed in the novel, the protagonist does not have a happy ending, life is not always like this. It may seem as so, but it is not. There will always be opportunities to learn and embrace your mistakes for the better. Hence the importance of making mistakes in the very first place. Of course life is not happy and there are some bitter moments, however the world will never end. Life keeps moving, and so do we.
